Depends on your browser (Explorer, FireFox, etc).
Under options or preferences there should be a tab that allows you to store this sort of data.
The newest Firefox also has an autoclean option where each time you close the browser all the data stored is deleted. I think the latest Explorer has that as well.
Play around with your browser options/preferences or go to the website that is the official one for the browser you use and look up the help topics.

You're reading My computer used to save our login info and passwords, when I cleaned up temp internet files last week it just quit working and I can't get it to remember most of my info. Anyone got any advice?

I have the latest I.E. and Windows 7 evaluation copy. I found some info on how to engage it, but I have all of the stuff "in order" and it just refuses to remember. I'll see if I can find more info. Thanks :)

More data: Options, Security, hit custom level - in that next pop up window will be lots of things to check and uncheck. Try User Data persistence or go to Content, click on Auto complete Settings, several options are there.
