Help answer this question below.
Punishment is given as a consequence for behavior. Typically, the punishment is for behavior that is considered "negative" or "abnormal". By that definition, the death penalty is still a punishment (and, as such, a consequence) for severely abnormal or negative behavior (murder, for instance).
Do I agree with it? I think if my loved ones were murdered, I'd be hard-pressed to seek anything *but* the death penalty for the murderer, unless it was accidental. Even then, severe punishment (long-time imprisonment) would be my goal.
Punishment is getting what you deserve for doing something bad. Consequence is what you get when you don't learn from your mistakes. Well they broke the law or they murdered someone so they should face life in prison or the death penalty.I mean they should of thought of that before breaking the law they shouldn't get another chance.

You're reading What does "Punishment" mean to u? How about "Consequence"? Now what do think about 1st time criminals, offenders, & others who break laws & get the death penalty? Is that a "punishment" even though they don't get another chance? What are your thoughts?
