While feigning innocence and playing the Eternal Victim, Israel keeps hostilities towards Arabs and Muslims alive and seething. Predictably, this leads to attacks on U.S. interests by vengeful Muslims. For many years the U.S. has supported Israel unconditionally, handing them enormous amounts of welfare, including cash and top-level military weapons.
Israel continues to ignore our feeble and perfunctory pleas to stop creating illegal settlements along the West Bank. They prevent Palestinian farmers from accessing water, medical supplies, and their own farmlands. In the name of defense they attack their neighbors viciously and preemptively, as often as their neighbors attack Israel. Each blames the other, and neither wants to give up their eternal hostilities..
Israeli lobbyists, Neocons with dual citizenship, and fundamentalist Christians keep a constant pro-Israeli pressure on the U.S. government. If anyone dares to complain, he is vilified as "anti-Semitic." Israel can do nothing wrong.
The time is long overdue that we (the U.S.) should drastically reduce our unconditional support for Israel. President Obama and Secretary Clinton should set conditions and require that they be met before handing weapons and welfare checks to Israel.
As long as the U.S. mollycoddles Israel we can expect ongoing attacks by radical Muslims.
Everyone has their favorite child.

You're reading Why do some people think it is okay to say utter crap about other countries (including advocating "killing 'em all"), but if you say a word against Israel, however reasonable your cricism may be, you are automatically an "anti-semite?"
