Help answer this question below.
You put the stimulus package in quotes. A few weeks back I put up a question, if anyone knows anybody who knows anybody who knows anybody who had a job because of it. No one answered affirmative.
By even the administration's wildly inflated figures, 640,329 jobs have been "created and saved" with $159 billion allocated as of Sept. 30, with a wild-guess figure of nearer 1 million jobs (where?) including those added in October. That comes to $160,000 per job for those who know their simple math, which white house adviser Jared Bernstein has called "calculator abuse".
Had the same money gone to cuts in oppressive taxation of small business, where new job creation happens, we would be diving down under 6% unemployment by now.
Update:
The areas benefitted are in congressional districts that do not even exist.

Odd. Congress has plenty of time now to focus on the Solyndra scandal...but no time at all to focus on a jobs bill. Partisan politics?
