I read the article with interest...it seems that the RCC always goes down the path of least resistance...
    chasing the popular vote....
If they knew the Bible at all, they would realize that God [ who is NOT Jesus] created EVERYTHING...the whole universe...as such He would also have created ANY aliens out there...
Yet the Bible states that Jesus died ONCE...for ALL sins...
Jesus' death on earth covers us, but what about any [ possible] aliens?
    Are they covered for sin?
    Are they sinless?
The answer is that there ARE no aliens...

(1 Peter 3:18) Why, even Christ died once for all time concerning sins, a righteous [person] for unrighteous ones, that he might lead YOU to God, he being put to death in the flesh, but being made alive in the spirit.

    ONCE FOR ALL TIME....

We have to learn to look after the earth, first, before God will allow us to "get out there"
And to even do so, would have to live a lot longer than we do now...(Psalm 90:10) In themselves the days of our years are seventy years; And if because of special mightiness they are eighty years, Yet their insistence is on trouble and hurtful things; For it must quickly pass by, and away we fly.

This is what we have been promised...
(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

so without being specific, all the scriptures point to a future where we MIGHT YET go ther planets....God did not create them...simply for nothing...

(Isaiah 45:18) For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.
