    G'day Keithold

    Thankyou for your question.

Yes, I would certainly judge a prospective partner by the conditions in which they chose to live, if you mean cleanliness. Decorating and furniture not so much, some people can't afford to have a fabulous home. The only thing that would influence me about the person is how clean they kept it.

    Regards.

Yes, a sloppy living environment indicates sloppiness in all phases of life, including the way you treat people.

I would not say that I would judge a person on the condition of their home but if they lived in unsanitary conditions I would have some questions.

Sure, the tidiness and cleanliness of the person's living conditions would be one element of my judgment of a prospective partner. This would be a measure of how well our lifestyles would mesh. I prefer not to live in chaos, and someone who always has to look for keys or a stamp for half an hour would drive me insane. It would also make me nuts to see gooey unidentified substances that have been there so long they are attracting other substances. Yuck. On the other hand, a completely spotless house would make me a nervous wreck and I'd be concerned that the person was too controlling or obsessive about being in pristine conditions. The consition of a home can say a lot about a person's lifestyle in general, what they consider important and how they respond to various stimuli.
So it's all about a comfort level. I don't want to be uncomfortable of make anyone else uncomfortable in a relationship.

Yes, I would if that have old wallpaper and their place is a complete mess then how can I not think that they are completely lazy? It shows they don't really care about much if invite you and haven't made some effort to tidy the place up a bit. If the place you move into isn't a dump then you shouldn't make it one, don't take that much energy and motivation to clean the windows, up-date the wall-paper and do the housework.

Honestly, I partly would judge them based on that.I don't know if I like the word judge, but I would certainly build up an impression of the person.Their house gives big clues about a person, likes/dislikes etc and I would probably compare and contrast these to my own.Could I live with that person? However, that would not be the only way I would 'judge' them-personality, kindness, respect etc would be more important to me. Many of us would also like to spend more on where we live but can't afford it.
