Hooray! Finally a video game that shows how brutal, awful, random, horrid, and undesirable REAL war is.
Now, if only military recruits were required to play THIS game before they enlisted....;-D...

Thats pretty sick but I can't say as I'm surprised. Its also far from the first game to give you the opportunity to kill innocents though to my knowledge its unique in the coldbloodedness of it. GTA, Postal, and a few similar ones were rather comical about it, this is more a simulation of the actual thing (and similar things do happen, Beslan anyone?)
Not familiar with the game but I'm told you can skip the mission and are forewarned about it? Anyways, people want a realistic war game, this shows it rather well, the only thing missing is children in it and there certainly would be kids in an airport like that. I suppose that might be the argument for it, its graphic and disturbing but gives you a real taste of what war really is, not the clean cut black-and-white battlefield we are often presented. Not something I have any interest in playing either way.
Here is a video of the mission...
I wouldnt advise watching it if you are under 18, easily offended, or easily upset because it is pretty disturbing...
Why am i not supprised something like this came up. This just shows a glimps of how violent war is and no it's not going too far since people want a realistic war game and they are given one. If there are people who think this is going too far they can always not play the game. There is no one forcing them to do so.

i believe the mission is need cause it explains the whole story SPOILER ALERT: see an undercover US soldier go's with these terrorists and kill innocents and at the end of the mission the head Russian shoots down the American and when Russian officials find his body they believe the USA supported the attack and that's when Russia invades the USA and the USA demolishes them(last part unneeded;))
IW wanted you to be mad at Makarov so you had some drive to kill him. They didn't think it would be emotionaly enough to show a short video on them. It's another aspect of the game that makes it more like a movie!
Horrible part of the game...
I think its realistic. I think its violent but war is violent. People do bad things. People die.

You're reading Call of Duty 2 Modern Warfare has a mission in it where 'the bad guys' and an undercover agent shoot up innocent people standing in an airport... In your opinion is this going too far?
