I think it varies from state to state, but I'm thinking in Texas you have to have an attorney to change child support, either way, increase or decrease. I once asked an attorney why not just set it as a percentage of income, if the payee's salary goes up, or down, so would the CS, all the attorney had to say was, "It can't be done." Hell no, it makes too much sense and the lawyers wouldn't be getting their cut. Vultures.

You're reading My husband shares custody with his daughters' mom. she also has a job now and didn't when they figured support. He just got laid off and we have no income. He needs the CS payments reduced. Can he do it without her having to agree?
