Gee wiz! The moon is a bit damp...who would have thought it?
My daughter the budding astronomer might care....but frankly as I grow older space exploration holds less and less interest to me.
I still support it - but I care less about the details.
Now if we could just find water for Sydney and the rest of the world suffering from drought.
I think they could have found out in 1970 when they were there before. what took so long. I am not surprised at all that there is some form of water on the moon.
Obviously, science finds it interesting enough to have done it. The value of the findings currently remains with the scientists, but no knowledge is bad knowledge.

It was a reasonable assumption that there was water on the moon
since it is accepted that the moon was formed from the Earth.
I don't see the need to spend the cash, unless the're going to ryun a pipeline a sell the pure space water.
All life is dependent on the moon, throwing a 'bomb' at it doesn't seem very responsible to me
