- New York is perhaps a great place to visit, but to live? It doesn't snow here, the humidity is perfect and the summers don't get too hot and the winters don't get too cold.

  And we have incredible coastlines, mountains and deserts and pretty much everything in between. I was surprised recently to discover that there is an area along the coast nearby with a temperate rainforest.

- that sounds great i like new york because its a huge city with huge buildings every were and i like that we dont have it in the uk.califoria sounds like a amazing place,mountains,coastlines,good weather and beaches

I have lived short-term in almost all of them and could not tell you what the best state is. When we dig into it, we have to go by different points, by earning money, educating children, by leisure or activities values etc. Every state has its own beauty and values, it depends on our own aspects of living in it. One of my favorites is Arizona: Caters to retired people like me, the weather is also warm, good for older bones, the medical care is excellent. Those are only some points I concider. Finally: it has the biggest crack in the earth there is. Grand Canyon is the greatest!!!!
