Was the song 'Who Do You Think You Are Kidding Mr Hitler' a proper wartime song, or was it just composed for Dad's Army?

    It was composed for the programme but sung by Bud Flanagan who was certainly singing music-hall songs of the same kind during the Second World War.

    It was written especially for the TV programme, in 1969 by Jimmy Perry and Derek Taverner. It was sung by Bud Flanagan.
