Good: Medecine, sterilization (the elimination of microbiological organisms)..
and bad: Of course for the military use and for is use by small countries to intimidate others countries..

A curse, for sure. At least before we learnt to use nuclear energy we were only in danger of wiping ourselves off the face of the planet. Now we are capable of destroying everything - and probably will. It just takes one crazy person, and there are enough of them out there.

i would have to say its a blessing, and it will get better when we get to a less wasteful form of fission power, or better still fusion. but for now we will have to find a way to deal with the wasteful aspect of this particular genie, because it is not going to go back into its bottle.
