If an Xbox turns out too expensive (although it's a great idea) give him a plant.I know it sounds a bit strange but everyone should have their own plant. Exotic plants are even better, like a venus flytrap or a bonsai tree. I have a houseplant that's been with me for 14 years and I love it.

Do something that goes along with what he said, like make a big cutout that says 'me', knit a sweater, or something else so that he will have 'you' in his arms.

Ask his family and friends for ideas. If you do not have money to buy a gift, you can always make him something, like a collage, photo book, or mix CD.
