  • Don't take any drugs and get plenty of rest. Most of the over the counter drugs actually hinder your body's ability to fight the diesease for a short time.

  • Plenty Liquids to help flush the toxins that your body is creating while fighting the cold, some good immune system boosting vitamins (but don't over do it), and believe it or not chicken soup can help break up some cold symptoms. Something to do with the type of fat that chicken has in it. So don't get Fat Free chicken soup because it is taking away the active ingredient. And most important... Rest, your body uses energy to fight the cold, if you are active you aren't giving your body all the resources it may need to fight the cold.

  • sleep.. plenty of sleep :) its the most natural way to cure a cold
  • (1) Take 1.5 grams of Vitamin C every day (e.g. three 500 mg tablets with breakfast) (2) Wash your hands A.S.A.P. after touching anything that a stranger might have touched recently (i.e. today). If you feel the beginnings of a cold coming on (e.g. a bit of a sore throat) then triple your Vitamin C intake by taking another 1.5 grams with lunch and again with dinner every day until you feel better.
  • echineacia it boosts your immune system and if taken regularly will prevent colds and and infections in throat or sore throats and if you dont like the idea of taking it in the tablet form you can get it in a tea form in asda
  • Hot Bath+Hot tea+ sleep in a warm bed until next day. Works for me (PS. Obviously the house should be well heated)
