When getting ready to redo your bathroom, think about what kind of materials you're going to use. Especially important is what goes onto your walls, because that is what people are going to notice first. Tile is the most common material for bathroom walls, and there are many varieties.
Ceramic
This type of wall tile is among the cheapest you can buy. It is also the most common as it comes in just about any color and style.
Natural Stone
This type of tile, though a little more expensive, is very popular. You won't get the variety of choices, but the natural stone look, whether in granite, slate, limestone or quartz, with the grains running through each tile, is still pleasing to the eye.
Glass
Glass tiles are becoming popular since many are made now from recycled material, making it a "green" product. They come in many colors and add a shine to a room that any other material just can't top.
Mosiac
These tiny tiles can be made of many different materials (including ceramic, stone and glass) and can be laid out in any design. With these tiles, you can turn your bathroom wall into a work of art.
Marble
This is the most expensive of your choices. While it looks amazing in just about any setting, and is built to last, these tiles will set you back quite a bit. This is why you will usually only see marble tile in the bathrooms of those with cash to spare.
