If we were to go strictly by the Old Testament laws sperm should always go into the body of the partner; Vaginally, anally, or swallowed but never just wasted. Because of the New Testament and by accepting Jesus as your personal saviour we are no longer under the Levitical laws of the Old Testament. Those laws, though good for teaching, were written for a specific people at a specific time. Jesus came to fulfil the law not to change it; as a result true Christians are no longer subject to the Old Testament law. True Christians are subject to only two commandments: to love the Lord God and to love your neighbour as yourself. Matthew 22:37-40.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say you should not or cannot use a condom. They did have a crude form of condom back in the Roman empire days made of a sheeps gut and tied closed on one end.

Actually, nowhere in the Bible does it say that condoms are prohibited. However, in Genesis 38:9, we come across the case of Onan, who engaged in the practice of "coitus interruptus." This "so angered God," that it cost Onan his life. It is this story that is the basis for the Roman Catholic Church's prohibition on condoms.

Condoms aren't mentioned in the Bible. These types of Bible interpretations are made by people that never read the Bible. I can tell you that 99% of the Bible is written as history. It's a pretty safe bet that anyone trying to tell you to do or not do something 'because thats what the Bible says' has never actually read the book for themselves (or at least didn't really understand it), so you can safely challenge them (including clergymen). Ask them if they actually read this themselves...!! You can look up specific passages and subjects (or read it for yourself) here...
