Every 4x4 from the big three I have ever seen will only go into 4wd low when in neutral and at a dead stop
you may have been able to shift into 4wd even though you pushed the low switch when moving, but I odubt it was low gear
a flashing light on any transmission/transaxle is a trouble code and needs to be scanned to find out what is wrong
The blinking means it's not engaged (4X4).
I have a 1998 gmc jimmy and it has 3 montior that will not set. 1. catalyst mon. 2. evap and 3. EGR

You're reading I have a 98 blazer that only goes into 4-wheel low in neutral gear. It never used to do this. If i push the button for 4-wheel low in gear it only blinks. Anyone know why.
