I am guessing from your problems that you are trying to change character models? If that is the case, a lot of times, you need a third party program to invalidate the old files and validate the new files. Another major issue can be patches (certain mods are incompatible with earlier/later official patches). Another likely problem is that you unpacked them in the wrong area, or didn't overwrite the old files (if file were being replaced).

i don't really remember very well but i think when you start the game there should be an option in the menu to choose which mods you want to activate.

You're reading Can someone help me get my Oblivion mods to work? I use Oblivion Mod Manager yet the mods fail to work in the game, even though they are in the correct files. Any advice?

Thanks for the link, and i use oblivion modmanager to unpack and place the files, so ill have to look into it, thansk again.
