Is vista ,the biggest mistake of Microsoft?

    Dunno, Windows ME was pretty fabulous too.

    Edit: ME was bad, I think, in that it was actually bad. Like damn. Vista I think was more of a planning problem. For example: A lot of computers were tagged as vista-ready, when they were "vista-capable" instead of "vista-ideal" -- and that was a huge difference in speed and abilities. They kept the code locked down till release, basically, meaning program writers had to scramble to get things released for Vista, and then they'd clash or be buggy...

    I would definately have to say that so far DOS 4.0 and windows millenium (ME) would both have been worse than vista... but give them time I am sure they can do it again !

    It may be argued that Vista is one of the larger failures in the history of computing, or at least on the top 10 list. I believe it has actually "won" that award from multiple sources.

    Figure, if Maximum PC prints a cover story titled "Microsoft's $6 Billion mistake" that has an interview with MS execs apologizing, I think that says something.
