Did the state also issue plates for Hinduism, Zorastrism, Druidic paganism, Satan worship, etc.?

If no, then this is clearly an attempt to make Christianity "more equal" than other religions.

Good for the judge for recognizing this.

My opinion is... GOOD FOR THE JUDGE!! The Christians are and have been forcing their way into our government for long enough. There is something called 'separation of church and state' that they need to remember, and realize applies to them, as well as any other religion. Or atheism.

Agree with the judge. I would amount to government endorsement of religion. Clearly against the first amendment.

    Good.

Not only is it unconstitutional, it is reprehensible that South Carolina legislators actually waste time with frivolous stuff like this.

Has their economy completely recovered? Do they have no more crime? --- No and No? Well then they have more important things to be working on.

Unless the state also planned to issue license plates with every other conceivable religious symbol, then the action would have violated the 1st Amendment.

The judge was right to reject it.

I think Americans get worked up, and spend large numbers of tax dollars, on silly things.

On the surface of it- I agree with the Christians.

BUT, I'm curious, if someone wanted a NON-Christian plate, like one endorsing Atheism, could one get one?

Research indicates that there is one For Secular Humanists:

So it appears to this one- the judge is being arbitrary- and therefore- wrong.
