What is the legal difference between Neg. driving and reckless driving?

    negligence is stupid, but not malicious.
    recklessness is intentional, and therefore, in the eyes of the law, a violent if unpremeditated crime. It's to keep stupid people from going to jail for a long time.

    Reckless is worse. Negligent implies you were lazy e.g. you crashed as a result of not keeping your tyre pressures checked. Reckless is more serious, for example going at 60 in a 30 zone.
