Help answer this question below.

How long can a person receive checks on unemployment? I'm sure there's a limit, or everyone would just be sitting around collecting it indefinitely if they got laid off.

When I was getting UC, the max was six months. Fortunately, I didn't need it very long as I got a job :) I think they just increased it recently.
