    Probably Winter. I don't know why, they just seem brighter.

    I dont watch them much in winter, its just too cold to sit out and do so, we spend a lot of time out n the evenings in summer, I can watch the stars for hours.......... so to me, summer is when they are best and brightest............:)

    Winter, for two reasons - clearer air and because that's when Sirius is visible (the brightest star - after the Sun).

    Winter nights. The air is clean and calm, the sun is down down down, and all my favorite constellations are out.
