Help answer this question below.
To the extent that it pointed to a website with a specific aim , and was therefore advertising that website and suggesting that it be supported, it was spam.
However, given the amount of public debate this issue is provoking I think the question should have been allowed to stand. If you haven't already appealed the decision go to the question, click Feedback at the bottom of the page and explain why you think it should be re-instated.
While I certainly think the sentiment behind your inquiry is a good one, I imagine they rejected it as spam because you were promoting another website in your question.
I can definitely see how it would be flagged as spam, particuarly if it was from an unknown user. You are very well established though, so I would have not flagged it (mind you, I personally wouldn't have flagged it even if it was a new anonymous user).
I think the health care debate is a legitimate one, However I think your question is is more of a statement and it requests people go to a website to sign a petition, I guess that could be considered spam.
What I did find offensive was the comment thread between you and Rosie...Name calling is a sign of weak minds
obviousely it was flagged by anti health care trolls.
however, it could be misconstrued as spam/advertising for that group
i'd repost the question without a link, something like this " If you want a public health insurance option, what have you done to support it?"
There's no link, so I couldn't look.
I'm surprised they allowed that flag .. you could probably challenge it yourself, if you haven't already.

Yes, I asked AB to review it and they agreed it was not spam. Spam is unsolicited advertising trying to sell goods and services. I post links to sits with most of my questions, but NEVER in any attempt to sell goods or services. Still, I can see how a quick look might have given the wrong impression.
