"We Want the Funk" by George Clinton. I can't believe that song is in an Odyssey commercial now.

I know it's odd, but the first thought that hit my brain was "Grand Funk Railroad!"

The dictionaries (Funk & Wagnalls) that my father was conned into buying when I was a youngster), they were dark blue, very expensive with poor quality binding and made no concessions whatsoever to UK English. I have hated the company ever since and it did nothing to enhance my trust of people from the USA or salesmen in general - but I suppose the rotten swine enjoyed his commission taken from a poor hard working man.

Funky music, strange electronic sounds, made
for moving to the rhythm, getting a feeling
of being completely unserious and fooling
around. Vocals that have the same feeling
    of easygoing, joking around and
    lighthearted fun.
    .
    House music.
