Have you noticed a rise in anti virus programs trying to take over from one another and messing up your computer? 9.8.09

    Huh? Are you saying that you use MULTIPLE Anti-virus programs at the same time? Regardless of what programs they are, THAT will screw up your system in a heartbeat.

    THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

    While you can get away with having multiple spyware blockers running simultaneously, AV programs *DO* conflict with one another in ways that will drag your system down, and possibly kill it.

    I only even bother to think about the AV programs that actually work, and there are only about a dozen that are worth a damn. Of them, I choose Avira as it's one of the most effective ones available at ANY price.

    Yes. I use norton and the ones i download, and that's happened to me alot. As far as I know, there is no way to fix it, but good luck.(:
