I don't think this is a Christian question as much as a society question.
Being a woman I understand why women are held to a hirer standard.
    1. We get pregnant, we are stuck with all the decision making. Keep it, don't keep it, abort it , don't abort it. If we keep it and the father denies it we have to take him to court. Its just a huge mess. If we abort it we have to live with it.
    2. We are more likely to get aides from our partners than men get it from us because the fluid enters our body.
    3. Being we are the ones with the most to lose we are expected to be the more responsible person in the relationship.
    4. Men set the tone for other men. There is still that thought that a real man will have many conquest before he settles down. (I WILL STATE THIS IN BOLD LETTERS, "ONLY SOME MEN". I DON'T WANT TO ARGUE WITH ANYONE TONIGHT OVER THE GENERAL USE OF THE WORD MEN. OK?)

Simple Double Standards. But here is the real question if all women are suppouse to be pure then who will men experiment with. But its simple just double standards and the church is not exempt.
