The same way someone who has never owned a house before can tell you exactly the kind of house he/she wants...or how someone who has never traveled anywhere can tell you all the countries in the world he/she would want to visit if the money and time were there. You don't need to be married to know that you want honesty kindness support fidelity modesty usefulness and any other traits you admire. Happy Monday! :)

I would liken it to someone who has never driven before knowing what features they want in a car. How are they going to know which features they like, which they can do without, and which they wish they had without first doing a test drive.

Actually, they may be more aware and may be good at learning from other people's mistakes instead of making them themselves.

Well it is a personal matter. I used to dream about the perfect man and how he would treat me. I actually found someone better then my dream man. :-)

Make a DO list for yourself. Write down your likes and dislikes. if she likes country music and you like rap, forget it. What you expect your mate to look like, act, dress, and common sense. This is a tall order, i know, and some people never find that exact person to marry. Just get as close as possible. Keep looking until you do.
