Help answer this question below.
I recently had diverticulitis with alot of spasmic activity.Treated with antibiotics.I have spastic colon, same as IBS (I`ve been told) I asked how to keep infection from happening again, was told high fiber! Not much treatment there.
I have it but do not take medicines for it, I also have stomach ulcer mild one guess and I take LAN-30 but only when it hurts.
Most IBS is related to poor diet. Cut out the refined sugars, cut down on pastas, white breads, drink lots of water, dont eat before bed, a little excercise and in three weeks most of your problems will be solved.
Neither me nor one of my family members ever suffered from irritable bowel syndrome
My sister has it, they changed her diet.
Prescription drugs and high fibre diet.+5
+6 for the question and the answer above.
I have this trouble too. I find fiber (dietary and supplements) helps along with plenty of water. I also find eating small meals through-out the day helps as well.
I found it helped to write down what I ate and when I had troubles. Doing that I eliminated homogenized milk which really helped me cut down incidents. I now buy my milk from a local dairy. There may be a food or foods that make your troubles worse so try a food diary to see if that's the case.
Good luck! I know it's tough to deal with this ailment.
