Gene - DON'T give up. I too am in my 50's and seeking work. I live in a very high unemployment area, My husband (in his 60's) finished his contract back in April this year and so far, nothing!. Its VERY hard but we keep plodding away. Savings have all but run out. Probably lose the house and everything after Christmas. Am I down, yes I am, but my motto is "never say never" But things will get better. I always believe that - even when everything is against you (like now). If I didn't believe that something better was around the corner, I would have curled up my toes long ago. Good luck and keep positive, even when things get really shitty. :) Nothing lasts for ever. Wish you well.

well, try to find a solution other than suicide and one, preferably closer to the ground. From what i have observed you certainly have a good personality, humorous i might add ... good luck in finding the "other" ...
