Considering that it seems so many people aren't concerned about their own debt, why do they worry about "passing debt onto their children"?

    Good question. I really wish I had an answer for it, ignorance I suppose. Those are the same ones who really piss me off as they tend to run their credit card up to the limit, not pay on it, then whine about the usurious interest rates.

    Yes, I know the interest is painful but this is a self-inflicted wound, the 'evil' credit card company doesn't force you to charge all that stuff on it. Furthermore, I pay on time everytime, my balances are kept to a rational level, my credit is quite good, yet my rate is going up because of all these jackasses defaulting on their sky high balances.
