Help answer this question below.
3 times 3/4 is the same as 3/1 times 3/4, therefore, multiply numerators (3x3) and denominators (1x4)... result is 9/4
...second fraction...
2/1 times 2/3, therefore, multiply numerators (2x2) and denominators (1x3)... result is 4/3
...
now you have to fractions to multiply...
9/4 times 4/3, again, multiply numerators and denominators, result is:
(9x4) / (4x3) = 36/12 = 3
=============================================
When you add two fractions:
A) you multiply both denominators to come up with a common denominator.
B) take denominator from 2nd fraction and multiply it by the first numerator. The result will be the first fraction's numerator.
C) take denominator from 1st fraction and multiply it by the second numerator. The result will be the second fraction's numerator.
D) add numerators, the denominator is the same result as step (A) above.

The third problem is a combination of steps from problem 1 and 2. Hope this helps.
