No anti-virus product is 100% effective. If Norton can't do it, then submit the infection & wait or use another product. Personally, I use Linux and haven't ever had a virus in 10 years...
Nothing against Norton, but every antivirus program out there cannot always handle every risk that comes along. Depends on what viruses/maleware the company is working on solving.
Saying that we use several program to cover everything...
Right now malwarebytes has been the best one at cleaning up the other stuff...

My "Norton Anti Virus" subscription will be up for renewal in few days. They keep asking me to renew it but I am considering switching to their rival for a better deal. I have heard that "Norton" will keep harassing even after the "due date". Is it true?

Is it safe/will it damage my computer if I remove Norton PC checkup through the Add/Remove Programs list? It acts more like spyware than anything else on my computer, it's useless and annoying :/
