I have a laptop with the vista update looping problem, it has now gone into 'windows cant fix this problem'. ive searched everywhere for an answer, do microsoft actually have a fix for this?

    Have you installed all the latest updates, including vista service pack one and two? It's important , mandatory if your os is to run smoothly, to do all the updates, more so than in any other operating system, in fact, vista will force you to install updates by making other things go haywire, even stop working all together until you do. I think the vista loop might be one of those incidents.
