    Try "The Battle of Okinawa: The Blood and the Bomb". This is a great book on the largest land, sea, and air battle in history. It was the last major battle of WW2. If you do not know much about the battle you will be shocked. My father fought in the battle and was on the island the entire time. I am only sorry I read the book after his death. I have a new respect for those who fought there.
