Sauce. Gravy is entirely different where I live.
I call it sauce, either tomato sauce or marinara sauce.
I call it sauce.
Technically it is sauce but in many Italian home in most of the northeastern states of the u.s.a. it is referred to as gravy for some odd reason.
I call it sauce.
I've heard it called red gravy.

I've found another word that has a different meaning in the US and the UK. In the UK gravy is made from meat juices. No wonder some things I read here confuse me. I read recently about gravy and biscuits and it conjured up the most sickening image - a chocolate hobnob and meat gravy served together.
