Oh here we go with the 'reinvention' of folks we don't like.
He wasn't Palestinian, he was having some problems and was getting counseling for some, and what law-abiding American Citizen doesn't have access to guns? He wasn't a felon, up until that one point.
So what do you suggest? We intern EVERY single person in the military with any hint of connection to the Middle East or Islam?

What are blockades?

You're reading Does it strike you as strange and/or irresponsible that a Palestinian soldier with a history of mental problems was given a gun and put in charge of "psychological readiness" for soldiers going to Iraq and Afghanistan at Fort Hood? (LINK)

Maybe you have trouble reading warning signs. Maybe you think there's no such thing as a warning sign. But some of us are not surprised when a "Palestinian-American" (if that term is more to your liking) with a history of emotional and psychological problems is given a gun and he points and shoots it at US soldiers. Just what WOULD get you to say "wait a minute, maybe that's not such a good idea?" Anything?

The dude was born in Virginia. George. Perhaps you've forgotten that he was an enlisted man in the Army and worked his way up through the ranks to Major.
Seems to me that any nutjob with a gun shouldn't be allowed access to guns. But then the NRA would come down onto me like a ton of bricks for suggesting such.
Perhaps the Army needs to reevalute who they hand guns out to?

Here is a quote from an Associated Press article, stating that "Hasan listed his birthplace as Arlington, Va., but his nationality as Palestinian." Of course you don't believe the Associated Press, nor the New York Times, nor CNN, nor the Guardian, nor any other Western news source, do you? But here it is anyway.
