Help answer this question below.
Poke a sewing needle through paper. Now poke the tine of a fork through paper. Which looks like it hurt the paper more?
A needle piercing will be quick, and it will be sterile and done by a pro. That sharp hollow needle will slice through almost as fast as an unsterilized plastic machine can shove a much blunter stud through your flesh. The needle cuts, the blunt stud tears. So while the needle may seem scarier, most find it less painful and faster to heal than a gunned piercing. Plus, a pro is far less likely to give you a crooked piercing, not get the jewelry in the first time, or freak out if something goes wrong.
Do not get a gun, it is more likely to fuck up
Im not sure if im a bit late writing this. But do not get it done with a gun.. it causes so much friction inside the cartilige that the cartilage will shatter. Its kinda like when you pour boiling water over something freezing cold it just shatters.
I had this done not too long ago and the needle was not painful at all, the worst part is the crunch you hear when it is through. Mine hasn't infected but dont make my mistake of changing the earing. wait till its completely healed which can take as long as 3 months if it keeps catching on things. Hope this helped
Okay. look. A piercing gun is a BAD idea.
It increases the chance of infection and people who pierce with guns don't know what the fuck they're doing.
Go to an actual state certified Piercer, don't go to Claire's or some other lame-ass mall "piercinr" parlor.
Needles are quick, too. They're hollow and more effective, healthier and if you go to a pro, it's done quickly and relatively painless.
a gun can cause trauma to the tragus & can make it more prone to infection.
a needle is much better. a needle will go just as fast as a gun.
if you're going to let pain stop you from getting what you want, then you should consider wearing fake jewelry instead.
Piercing is very very fast. It may hurt afterwards though.
No no NO no no do not use a gun for any piercing!
They are notorious for infection and the old stud thing just is not as good as any of the professional piercing jewelry.
I used to have quite a few of them (now I only have one) and all were done by a professional piercer using sterile needles.
I have been told by those who have had piercings done with a gun and by a professional piercer that a professional piercer using sterile needles is much less painful, heals faster, and is all around better.
