It would really depend on what the felony is and the position I was hiring for. I would also question the candidate at length about it. Why they did it, what were the circumstances, could it happen again -- why or why not. Then depending on their answers and my gut feeling, I would then decide if I would hire them or not. Everyone makes mistakes in life. If they are trying to turn their life around, I'm all for that.
Im going to be totally honest...yes i believe in equal opportunity employment here in the U.S BUT it also really depends in what kind of things that certain person would be doing for my company. For example...i dont think i would hire someone to handle financial things in the company if he/she has a history of stealing from stores,other job places,banks ect...i would logically think they would do it to me as well.
