They're both about the same. Us Agnostics and Muslims, we rock.
-
Better at what?
-
At praying, for sure. Other than that, not much difference.
-
I am sure that Christians believe they are better and that they will go to Heaven when they die, whereas atheists will not. I would not say Christians are 'better' because atheists can live good lives and have excellent values the same as Christians do - they just do not believe the Bible and what is taught in it. It is all so subjective.
-
Any christian who believes that s/he is better than an athiest, pretty much is missing the point of what makes US christian. We are all fallen, we have all sinned.
-
some are, some are not.
-
I'm going to say no... They aren't. Atheists haven't caused the death of hundreds or people. Christians have.
-
Of course not, they just have different beliefs. Do you think someone is inferior just because they prefer, let's say, country over death metal? No. A popular myth is that atheists have less, or even no morals, but this isn't true as some people throughout history who were thought of as been the most moralistic, were also atheists. We do not need religion to teach us morals. It depends on the person, you can't generalise a thing like this.
-
no worse, no better. qualify it.
-
Because I value "faith in reality", I would say whoever happens to be ultimately right is probably better, but since we don't know for certain it's hard to say.
-
They are both people. No better, or worse!
-
No, just forgiven.
-
I separate good people from bad by taking their actions, statements, and character into consideration, not their beliefs or lack thereof.
-
It doesn't matter what you believe in, what matters is what you do, or say.
-
Nope. For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
-
Better at what? People are people no matter what their religious traditions (or lack thereof)
-
Not all Christians are actually Christian. Being religious within Christianity or just saying "I'm with Jesus" is not enough. Atheists tend to be rather jaded and cynical, so I would think that true Christians would be a bit more fun loving, though this is rather speculative.
-
No. Just because someone has different beliefs doesn't mean that they are better....or worse than anyone else.
-
I would hope that no one is better than the other.
-
Yes because at least they believe in something.
-
Marinate them right and you can't tell the difference.
-
As a Christian, I believe that God loved EACH us SO much that he allowed his son to die in our behalf. The problem is, you cannot take advantage of what's been done for you if you don't acknowledge the existence of God and the sacrifice of his son. Atheists are every bit as valuable and precious as any other human being. But, as long as they remain atheists, they are in a precarious situation, whether they realize it or not.
-
No. That is not really the point of Christianity. We are actually called to esteem others as if they were better - in other words, to value other people highly, lift them up, and encourage them. I believe that as a Christian, I have a message of truth, hope, redemption, forgiveness, and grace that can lift any person. However the value of the other is not determined by their embrace of that message, nor is their moral goodness. I know some wonderful, fine, delightful, and moral people who are not believers in Christ. While I wish they could see what I see, I do not believe that I am better than them. In fact, I can learn much from them.

No one person is better than another.
-
Religion means nothing on how you judge someone. As Dr. King said, people should be judged by their character and actions.
-
Atheists are people just like Christians, Jews, Buddhists, etc. Just because you don't believe in something it doesn't mean you are a bad person or are 'beneath' someone. And some Christians do have that characteristic towards Atheists. I am a Christian and I do not judge people because of their beliefs.
-
NO, not really. They both taste about the same.
-
Certainly not.
-
no one is better than another.........
-
Better off. Not better.
-
There are some decent people, but the majority are motivated by lust and greed. Most love to take pleasure in the suffering of others. Thats why there are rubbernecking delays in the opposite lane of major accidents. I'd say it is about 50/50.
-
That's a value judgment. So you must first define what you mean by "better" - that's too broad and general. But taken at face value I would have to say, "No, no one group is 'better' than any another group. Everyone just is what they are and that's good enough!" However, if you clarify what you mean by "better" I might be able to provide a clearer, most accurate answer.

Yes. Mrs. Betty Bowers is not only better than any atheist, she is America's best Christian. http://www.bettybowers.com/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If so she'll go right to heaven
-
The lions all agree that christians are much better.
-
Nah, Deists win all around, we got the best of both worlds.

Going to church on a regular basis does not make a person better than a non believer. Some Christians never go to church, and some pray at home, and others do not pray at all.The idea that believers are better than someone who doesn't believe in a God is flawed because you do not have to be religious to do good things in your life.If you are considerate and help your fellow man when he is in need then you are a good person, and religion and non belief doesn't matter at all.
