B.J. Hunnicut
That's a tough one, but I think I would have to go with BJ Hunnicut if made to choose.
I think that Trapper and Hawkeye were too big for each other. BJ brought a sense of a family guy being able to be funny as well as a single ladies' man like Hawkeye. It was a much needed change, and I can relate to BJ better than Trapper. He represented a real person with real problems, whereas the rest of the show could get a little too silly sometimes.
Trapper John.
Trapper was a cool sidekick.
Mike Farrell as Hunnicut seemed to get in the way at times.
I liked Trapper John, Hunnicut seemed like such a wimp.
Wimpy wishy washy guys just don't do much for me.
