In addition to Nosferatu, I'd choose: The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. The two films that made Louise Brooks' reputation, Pandora's Box and Diary of a Lost Girl. Foolish Wives and Queen Kelly, both directed by Erich von Stroheim. Birth of a Nation -- don't worry about political correctness, just enjoy some great filmmaking. The Gold Rush.
