Do you think that it's racist that theirs a black history month (whilst not having a white,italian,ect. history month) as well as their being such places as black only colleges,neighborhoods and churches?

When you consider the fact that black in america is actually a culture - just like being Italian or Irish or Russian, then black only churches and colleges is not a racist thing. Blacks actually have a culture of their own in America and there's nothing the matter with honoring that. It would only be racist if black churchs were actively trying to exclude others and preaching hate against others.

Also, black people were discriminated against very overtly in the past. We weren't allowed to attend white colleges, go to white hospitals, and movies and TV didn't feature us except as slaves, maids, and clowns. Once upon of time there were no black baby dolls sold in stores for little black girls, or black stalkings, or makeup. So black people had to do for themselves. We had to have our own schools, churches, and so on.

The fact is white people are the dominant culture and everything is geared toward them. Notice that most movies are white, most TV shows feature whites as stars, most of the news covers white america. So if blacks want to experience things from their point of view they need to have their own shows. THis isn't racist. It's just having an opportunity to experience your own culture from your own point of view.

Sure is.

I don't believe so.

Black people have the right to found their own churches, reside in the same areas, and establish private educational institutions.

If other races of people did the same things however, and encountered resistance, THAT would be racism.
