Help answer this question below.
There are definitely some benefits (listed in no particular order):
1. Tax breaks and other legal privileges
2. Social acceptance among family and friends. Sometimes, family will not take the couple's relationship seriously unless they are married.
3. Studies suggest that it offers good health benefits for men (but not for women).
4. That extra level of commitment can be reassuring for some people.
With that said, the decision to marry should be determined on a case by case basis. Some couples would be much happier with married, and others would not. One advantage of not marrying is that dissolving a relationship is easier. Sometimes, we may find that we need to get out because the person had unhealthy habits that we didn't know about until years later. If the couple is married, they might feel "trapped" by the commitment.
people think that marriage is the last level of a relationship
There are tax breaks, apparently.
There is no benefits at all. It took me 15 years to marry my hubby. The only reason was that my children and me had the same surname

You're reading Why do people marry if they can just be together without marriage? Would it better that way? Are the benefits to marriage good enough to marry at all?
