I need my blog to appear on Google search not just on Google blog search. How can I achieve this?

I found topics of interest that were under served and wrote about them. If your topic is specific to a certain search, you will be high up on that search list if very little has been written. I've had one single article generate about 1,500 hits since the beginning of the year that way.
