    Great Answer

    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

On One Hand: Type of Style

A bridge lamp is a stylish, convenient lamp that stands on the floor and can be moved and adjusted to be brought closer to reading materials or projects, allowing for enhanced lighting. However, since it is a floor lamp, it is not very portable.

On the Other: Amount of Light

The light put out by bridge lamps is condensed in a tube light that is then reflected off of a metallic back. The light put off by the lamp is bright and concentrated. The concentration of light makes it ideal for reading.

    Bottom Line

Bridge lights, because of their flexibility and output of light, make good reading lamps. They allow for the light to be moved directly over reading material because of their moveable arm design.
