Vehicles are rated for both city and highway fuel economy. The Hummer 3 gets about 14 mpg for city driving and about 18 mpg on the highway.
Significance
Based on a hypothetical gas price of $2.58 per gallon and an average of 15,000 miles per year of driving, a Hummer 3 driver would spend about $2,400 per year on fuel.
Price
The starting price for a 2009 Chevrolet Hummer 3 was $33,390. The vehicle came with a five-year or 100,000-mile limited power-train warranty.
Speculation
Raser Technologies has developed a hybrid version of the H3 that gets more than 100 mpg. As of 2009, it was not available for widespread distribution.
Fun Fact
The Hummer 3 has the same mpg rating as the Jeep Commander, Kia Sorento, Toyota 4Runner, Chevrolet Trailblazer, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Lexus Gx 470 and Porsche Cayenne.
