Help answer this question below.
Depending on the source and your beliefs, peacock feathers can be both good-luck and bad-luck charms. There are mythologies that support both viewpoints, leading to confusion about the "lucky" nature of these feathers. Egyptian folklore tells of Argus, the main minister for Osiris, the king of Egypt. With more than one hundred spies (called "eyes"), Argus eventually took over the country while Osiris was away fighting a war. Eventually, Argus was punished and beheaded, and he then metamorphosed into a peacock with his eyes placed on each tail. Rumors have persisted that the idea of peacock feathers being bad luck were purposefully started in order to keep people from eating the rare and frequently treasured bird. A popular theory on the idea of peacock feathers as "bad luck" is that the eyes are associated with Lilith, the she-demon of Jewish mythology who would place the "evil eye" on foes. Both Hindu and Buddhist cultures place a high value on peacocks as animals with great positive powers. In Asian cultures, this has lead to peacock feathers being considered good luck. In many areas of central and eastern Europe, peacock feathers are still considered bad luck because Mongol hordes would wear them on their uniforms while riding into battle.History

To those peacocks who lost 'em, sure!

I don't know but cocks that don't pee are bad luck!
What kind of question is that?
I always heard the peacock feather is bad luck because the peacock is the animal that let the snake into the Garden of Eden. And because of that act God punished the peacock not by taking away it's beauty but by giving it an ugly call. They have a horrible scream instead of a beautiful bird call.
In the theater they are considered bad luck. They are never allowed backstage.
My mom loved them and we had them in the house all the time when I was growing up. I used to have some in my house as a grownup as well. We never had bad luck so either that isn't true or we lucked out! Happy Tuesday! :)
i think that means you have an enlarge prostate right?
Not that Im aware of. I dont like the idea that they may be plucked from the poor bird. If they fall off on their own, fine. But theres no need to torture the bird. I think bad luck or good luck is all in what YOU decide. :)
That is an Old Wives Tale which goes back to the middle ages
It's just some silly superstition. In my country peacock's feathers are considered as a symbol of wealth.
