    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

The number of gallons needed to fill a swimming pool is determined by the size of your swimming pool. A standard round 18-foot above-ground pool with a 48-inch wall takes about 7,650 gallons. An in-ground pool with dimensions of 16 by 32 feet with an average depth of 5 feet needs 19,200 gallons.
