Lexus includes these standard features in the SC 430: tire-pressure monitoring system, side-impact door beams, water-repellent windows, six airbags, run-flat tires, theft-deterrent system, adaptive front lighting, ABS with Brake Assist, three-point seat belts, daytime running lights and a reinforced chassis.
The Lexus SC 430 has no crash-test results. Its twin, the Toyota Soarer, also has no results available. For a car to pass inspection and be imported into the United States, however, it must pass a rigorous series of tests to ensure passenger safety. The SC 430 also features a hardtop roof, which in the event of a rollover, provides greater protection than cloth tops.
Lexus offers a large amount of standard features on the SC 430, which include a number of safety components. Although no crash-test results are available, the car's solid metal roof provides protection against rollovers.

Was driving one and crashed at high speed into a tree. Front right hand corner was destroyed, car was totaled at over $29,000 in damage. Vehicle was on two left wheels prior to accident. Rollover alarm sounded and car took control. Seats moved into ideal position for driver and passenger restraint. Airbags deployed during accident and seat belts tensed and locked. Despite the car being totaled, I and my passenger both walked away with not a scratch on us, nor any bruises cuts burns or physical trauma. Mental/emotional was and is, of course, a different story.
